Avondale Counselling is a Vancouver-based therapy provider committed to guiding you through life's challenges.
Your Journey Matters - You don’t have to walk it alone.
Welcome, I’m Leanne Hagglund! I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from UBC. I work with clients who are dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, workplace stress, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions.
My Approach
Personalized & Empathetic
I believe in treating every client with authenticity and unconditional positive regard. Creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and validated is at the heart of my work. I guide clients in drawing on their personal strengths and resilience to achieve the changes they hope for, fostering a supportive and healing environment.
To support each client’s unique needs, I draw on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. By co-creating a treatment plan, I ensure every step of the counselling process is accessible, meaningful, and empowering. I encourage clients to actively engage, ask questions, and take ownership of their growth along the way.
I work with individuals facing challenges, such as anxiety, grief, depression, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck, wanting to better understand the patterns and self-limiting thoughts that hold them back. Others are navigating stress related to societal expectations or major changes in their lives. Together, we explore these challenges to chart a new, meaningful direction forward.
